About The Position

The Accounting Intern assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close functions. Working closely with other members of the Finance team, the intern gains experience with accounting tasks including month-end close, financial reporting, general audit activities, and tax preparation. The position is described as sedentary and involves working in a typical office or administrative environment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAGE products or related accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research, filing, and data entry to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare assigned reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as necessary.
• Assist with audit and tax activities.
