About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Final Assembly Shipping-2nd Shift. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. The salary information provided is a general guideline and actual salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to use various hand tools to assemble components and verify quality in a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble units.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook and job-specific software including Enovia.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with persuasive and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 3 months of experience using hand and air (pneumatic) tools.
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, fit, and modify work in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies.
  • Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions, following established procedures.
  • Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists.
  • Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations.
  • Receive, pick, label, pack, and prepare materials and assemblies for shipment.
  • Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and report shortages.
  • Inspect all assemblies for secure hardware, completeness, and cleanliness.
  • Respond to change notices, customer-requested adjustments, and development needs.
  • Maintain active forklift certification.
  • Operate an overhead crane.
  • Work at heights ranging from 4 to 15 feet.
