About The Position

The Final Assembly position is primarily responsible for sub-assembling smaller parts. This includes reviewing the work order to ensure material availability. The role requires the ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work, organize and prioritize jobs, and communicate clearly and comprehensively. The position is in a typical machine shop environment and requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassisted. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Shop experience in assembly and reading shop prints
  • Familiar with power tools and hand tools, loc-tite glue, and paper cutter
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools

Responsibilities

  • Review picking sheet
  • Confirms if pick from stock or make from a job
  • Locate job and compare with picking sheet
  • Review drawings for part assembly (if available)
  • Gather materials to assemble parts
  • Assemble parts
  • Review picking sheet for special instructions
  • Inspect parts for final assembly
  • Sign off on production and picking sheet
