Requirements

  • General mechanical knowledge and ability.
  • Operate overhead cranes.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, divide units of measurement).
  • Common sense understanding to carry out work instructions.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Able to write simple sentences to provide information.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to find information and enter data.
  • Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and solve die and press problems to run quality parts.
  • Walking, standing and moving for 8 hour shift.
  • Bending, reaching and climbing occasionally.
  • Use of eyes for visual inspection of parts.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 5-40 pounds regularly and occasionally 41- and over with assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate final assembly machines to assemble parts.
  • Conduct performance testing as required.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection using blueprints, product data inspection sheets, various measurement devices, overlays or special gauging of all characteristics of the part to determine inspection parameters for set up.
  • Recognize set up, machine or feed problems and able to correct those problems or escalate as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance as specified for the equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
