About The Position

Direct labor employees responsible for operating Final Assembly equipment. Must become qualified/certified and perform the following final assembly operations (including maintenance): Router: Perform operation, changeover and rail adjustments. Inspect: Verify all components are seated properly and solder requirements are met. Label Apply: Place module in housing, apply label and check for errors. Bracket Assembly: Place module/bracket in nest and screwdriver inserts fasteners. Coil Verify: Place coil in fixture to ensure proper placement. Remove and place into pallet to complete selective solder process. Pack/SAP: Place module in pack verifier and place module in tote according to procedure. Functional Test: Scan labels and review modules for successful testing. Thermal Pad Application/Verification: Place thermal pads appropriately on modules. Heat Sink Application: Apply metal heat sink and cell press into place. Final Assembly Cells: Place/Remove modules from pallets and perform changeovers as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform reading and math functions at the 8th grade level or higher.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to rotate into final assembly positions within assigned line, including ICT.
  • Must successfully complete applied mechanics and workmanship standards classes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse.
  • Ability to use hands to handle, feel and grasp.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and stoop, kneel, reach/extend, bend, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to review objects with close vision, while also adjusting focus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operation, changeover and rail adjustments on Router equipment.
  • Verify component seating and solder requirements.
  • Apply labels and check for errors.
  • Assemble brackets by inserting fasteners.
  • Ensure proper coil placement and complete selective solder process.
  • Verify module packing and place modules in totes.
  • Scan labels and review modules for successful testing.
  • Apply thermal pads appropriately on modules.
  • Apply metal heat sinks and press cells into place.
  • Place/Remove modules from pallets and perform changeovers.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment.
  • Perform maintenance whenever needed.
  • Assist in the new operator training process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with and support health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
