Manufacturing Entry Level - Film Tech 11 pm to 7 am
About The Position
Amcor Flexibles is hiring an entry-level Film Tech for its film extrusion team at its Mankato, Minnesota facility. The role supports daily manufacturing floor operations, including safe work practices, packaging products, machine setup and operation, changeovers, quality testing, production documentation, and troubleshooting production issues. The position follows an 8-hour overnight shift, Monday through Friday, from 11 pm to 7 am. Starting pay is $22.99 per hour, with step increases up to $28.74 per hour. A $1.75 differential is paid for hours worked between 3 pm and 7 am. The role requires high school education or equivalent, or prior film extrusion experience or training. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required, as is wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or prior film extrusion experience or training.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform math calculations.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and know and follow plant safety rules.
- Assist material handlers with packaging rolls.
- Assist with and perform equipment setup, operation, and changeovers.
- Perform quality tests as required by product specifications.
- Help other associates and perform other assigned duties.
- Complete documentation related to job duties and production accounting.
- Identify and solve production problems.
- Apply knowledge of product end uses and how production can affect them.
- Maintain proper quantities of needed supplies.
- Perform ISO procedures according to the training plan.
- Comply with the in-house training program.
