About The Position
This is a part-time instructor pool for Film Studies Associate positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications, which include specific degree and major requirements in film, drama/theater arts, mass communication, media studies, English, or communication. A valid California Community College Credential in the discipline area or the equivalent is also acceptable. Applicants must demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students. Requirements
- Master’s degree in film, drama/theater arts or mass communication.
- OR bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND master’s degree in media studies, English or communication.
- OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area.
- OR the equivalent.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
