About The Position

This position is for the Dance Associate (Part-time) Instructor Pool for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role requires an instructor to have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in dance, physical education with a dance emphasis, or theater with dance emphasis; OR master’s degree in Theatre and Dance (Dance Theatre) – an approved comparable degree at MiraCosta College; OR bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND master’s degree in physical education, any life science, physiology, theater arts, kinesiology, humanities, performing arts, or music; OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area. OR the equivalent.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
