JBT Marel is seeking a skilled Field Service technician to join our team. You will be responsible for servicing and repairing JBT Marel-sold equipment at our customer sites. In this role, you will perform technical mechanical, electrical, and controls work as a Filler and Seamer Technician. You will strategically manage the field service activities surrounding these product lines while working actively to expand and grow the business.

Requirements

4-6 years of mechanical/electrical/controls experience OR field service experience including working knowledge of canning filler/seamer product lines.
Basic computer skills - including iPad and smart phone, use of email, Word, Excel, etc.
Customer oriented with a positive/ can do attitude.
Strong electromechanically inclined abilities to troubleshoot and repair machinery hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components.
Safety conscious leader, with a proven track record on safety.
Strong written and communication skills with ability to write detailed, technical reports.
Good interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude.
Must demonstrate participation, leadership, and commitment to the execution of JBT Marel strategies.

Nice To Haves

Two-year technical school training or related field experience preferred.
Welding skills a plus.
Experience working on seamers, Blenders or Fillers, and Capping equipment, preferred.
Manufacturing experience in food and beverage industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties in accordance with JBT Marel safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety-focused work mentality.
Performance maintenance and setup work on all JBT Marel products including, but not limited to, Powder Filling, Liquid Filling, Seaming, and Blending machinery.
Be able to use metric system using tape measure / tools to assembly equipment.
Set up and adjust machines in the field to equipment specifications.
Perform machine audits, repairs, and preventative scheduled maintenance.
Conduct inventory of new equipment prior to start of installation.
Install, commission, and set up JBT Marel filler/seamer products in customer facilities.
Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.
Identify and articulate root cause problem statements while troubleshooting.
Changeover and setup change parts running clearance and timing.
Cross training is an expectation and when applicable, provide training to customers and coworkers alike.
