About The Position

This role provides general construction labor tasks in an efficient and safe manner as part of a welding crew to erect precast concrete panels. The Field Welder will complete general construction labor tasks necessary to weld precast concrete panels, take work direction from a detail or erection crew foreperson, and may perform miscellaneous work as directed. The position requires efficient use of materials and supplies, responsible handling of equipment, and adherence to established safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Welding experience
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
• Ability to work from heights, including but not limited to ladders and aerial work platforms
• Ability to obtain membership to a local union
• General knowledge of construction practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
• Ability to travel extensively (50% of the time or more, including overnights) and work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of construction or manual labor experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Welder (AWS, 3g & 4g)
