About The Position
As a Field Walker at Sugar Farms Co-op, you will be responsible for walking plant operations. Your primary duties will include walking assigned rows, making sure planting crews are doing a quality job planting. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as your reports will guide timely interventions and support optimal yield.
Requirements
- Ability to walk long distances outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong observational and recording skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Pass Background check
- Must be able to pass Physical and Drug test
Responsibilities
- Systematically walk crop fields to monitor planting operations
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and agronomists regarding field observations
- Assist with flagging or marking plants or areas requiring treatment
- Support field trials and sampling processes as directed
- Follow all safety guidelines and biosecurity protocols
