Field Technician - Jacksonville, FL

Flock•Jacksonville, FL
•$55,000 - $65,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Field Technician installs, aligns, maintains, and repairs Flock’s cameras, solar panels, batteries, mounting poles, and related infrastructure at public and private sites. The work includes both new deployments and ongoing fleet maintenance, with direct responsibility for keeping safety hardware operational. The role is hands-on and outdoors, involving varied sites and weather conditions rather than desk-based or remote troubleshooting. The technician conducts site surveys with public safety partners and property owners, verifies traffic-control plans and permit compliance, prepares sites, installs and aligns cameras, diagnoses hardware and software-connection issues, and addresses minor disruptions to private wiring or irrigation. The role also requires documenting work and inventory in a mobile field application, managing local equipment shipments, operating field vehicles and towing support trailers, and following environmental and workplace safety protocols. The posting describes field work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work for travel or project completion. It lists travel as up to 25% in the opening and travel section, while another section says up to 50% across the region. Compensation is $55,000–$65,000 per year, plus overtime and Flock stock options.
