About The Position

GP Strategies has an opening for an Aviation Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Jacksonville (Cecil Field), FL. This is a full-time, regular, exempt, benefitted position. The instructor will conduct and perform training or solutions using various appropriate mediums and methods (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], distance learning, simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements. They will assess and test the competence of employees in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications. This includes conferring with management/client to understand work situations, delivering training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty, evaluating training programs and reporting on trainee progress, maintaining training programs and materials, and preparing training areas to be teach ready.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Military or Commercial mechanic background (secondary would be Electrical or Avionics)
• 5+ years formal adult training experience
• Teaming (collaboration to achieve goals)
• Communication (written and verbal)
• Microsoft Office 365 (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, & SharePoint)
• Instructional System Design knowledge (ADDIE knowledge)

Nice To Haves

• Airframe & Powerplant license recommended but not required
