Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of technical experience, preferably working with heavy-duty vehicles, electronics or related systems.
  • Enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting and working directly with customers.
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail.
  • Travel is required, with assignments at customer sites across the country.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or knowledge related to vehicle electrical systems and electronic equipment.
  • Experience or knowledge related to installation, configuration, maintenance or troubleshooting of hardware systems.
  • Experience or knowledge related to technical documentation and field reporting.
  • Experience or knowledge related to working directly with customers, contractors and multidisciplinary technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting site surveys and vehicle inspections to gather the technical information required to prepare installations.
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and repairing onboard hardware and integrated systems on transit vehicles.
  • Working with vehicle electrical systems, including power sources, fuses, converters and related components.
  • Reviewing project documentation and Statements of Work (SOW) and carrying out field activities according to established requirements and procedures.
  • Managing travel schedules, field activities and project priorities to complete installations and service work on schedule.
  • Coordinating directly with customers regarding vehicle availability, installation activities and basic system training.
  • Documenting installations through field reports, photographs, technical observations and other required project records.
  • Providing timely project updates and escalating technical issues to Operations, Engineering and Customer Success teams.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Operations to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered in the field.
  • Coordinating with third-party contractors and verifying that installations meet company quality standards.
  • Tracking project parts, equipment and materials, and verifying onsite inventory before installation work begins.
