Field Technician

On-Site Health & Safety•Reno, NV

About The Position

On-Site Health & Safety is seeking a Health & Safety Incident Response Technician (Field Technician) to provide occupational health and safety support at varied worksites, including construction sites and refineries. The role offers a consistent six-day work week with 10-hour shifts, Monday through Saturday. Technicians travel to worksites in a company vehicle, which may be taken home, and clock in and out from home. The position includes an on-call rotation with some overnight and weekend shifts. Field Technicians help ensure health and safety compliance, provide first aid, prepare incident reports, conduct health screenings, and draw blood when certified. Applicants may qualify through experience or education in emergency medical services, nursing, military medicine, or related medical fields; some other medical roles may qualify with additional in-house training. The work requires communicating clearly with the public and being physically comfortable standing, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs for extended periods, as well as driving for extended periods and long distances. Employment offers are contingent on successful background and drug screening. Field personnel are subject to drug-testing requirements, which may include pre-employment, reasonable suspicion or cause, return-to-duty, post-accident, and random testing. Hepatitis B immunization is recommended due to possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or bodily fluids.
