About The Position

The Field Service Technician diagnoses and repairs forklifts at customer locations. The technician is provided with a company service van stocked with parts to perform repairs. This is a full-time position with a Monday-to-Friday schedule, based at the Lemoore, California branch.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Own hand tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical operations.
• Valid Nevada driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to internal and external customers.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical certification.
• Two to four or more years of forklift maintenance experience in a service technician role in the material handling industry.
• Other maintenance experience, such as military, automotive/diesel, or building maintenance experience, will be considered.
• Welding experience.
• Dock leveler and roll-up door experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from technicians and customers, providing technical support to resolve issues.
• Assist technicians with diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and completing repairs properly.
• Perform planned forklift maintenance services and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain the company service vehicle and its parts inventory.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain dependable and punctual attendance.
• Maintain positive customer relations and handle situations tactfully and professionally.
• Lift 50 pounds or more.
