About The Position

Abel Womack is hiring Field Service Technicians to work in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and the surrounding area. The role involves independent field service for electric vehicles and automated material handling equipment, with support from a team of colleagues and technical specialists. Candidates with forklift experience or transferable experience as an automotive, diesel, conveyor, heavy-equipment, or other electro-mechanical mechanic are encouraged to apply. Technicians travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and other equipment, including warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and automated material handling equipment. The position offers a company-issued service vehicle, technical training, career growth, job stability, and advancement opportunities. Compensation is $23–$36 per hour, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.

Requirements

Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service technicians, and customers.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships through excellent customer service.
Must provide basic mechanic tools; specialty tools are provided.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems.
Forklift technician experience or transferable experience as an automotive, diesel, conveyor, heavy-equipment, or other electro-mechanical mechanic.

Responsibilities

Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks, warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment.
Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges.
Apply and develop mechanical and technical skills through ongoing training.
Submit electronic work orders using a company-provided tablet.
Represent Abel Womack professionally and provide excellent customer service.
