About The Position

Konami Gaming is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Oklahoma area to join their Field Service team. This role is responsible for the repair, installation, removal, preventive maintenance, and conversion of Konami Gaming's products. The technician will also provide on-site training to customers on game functionality and operation, and may mentor less experienced personnel. The pay range for this position is $24-$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel in & out of assigned territory up to 75% of work time on short notice.
  • Flexibility to the needs of the business.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have a clean Driver License in excellent standing with the DMV.
  • Ability to move and lift heavy equipment within measured guidelines (75+ lbs) while strictly abiding to all safety policies.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain Gaming Control Board approval and approval in other gaming jurisdictions.
  • Full time / 40+ Hours per week.
  • Must be flexible for on-call, overtime, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays as required.
  • Technical field experience is preferred or a comparable combination of experience and education.
  • Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products.
  • Competent level of PC knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.

  • Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work: heavy lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods. May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. May be required to move machines weighing up to 400 pounds using a hand truck.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and reach.
  • Repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse and telephone.
  • Work environment involves situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, be able to drive and operate a class C License motor vehicle unassisted.

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.

  • Receives, may interpret and transmits semi-complex information requiring considerable explanation or interpretation to assigned technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide exceptional onsite customer service to end users.
  • Proactively focuses on understanding and meeting customers’ needs (internal and external).
  • Follows up timely on complaints/questions/requests.
  • Plan and monitor the movement and storage of materials and products in coordination with headquarters, customers, and vehicle inventories.

  • Work is subject to regular supervisory oversight at defined project / task milestone.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Gaming-related field highly preferred.
  • Typically has 2 to 5 years of experience with software or hardware problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high levels of service activity related to installations, service calls, conversions, PMs, and removals on KGI gaming products within an assigned territory.
  • Supporting lead technicians and participating in assigned tasks for large game/multi-tech product service activities.
  • Solving semi-complex and routine customer-related issues.
  • Participating in major product installations and conversions for 25 or more games.
  • Receiving on-the-job training on all Konami gaming products.
  • Setting up KGI products for trade shows and installations/special projects.
  • Escalating customer issues that cannot be addressed within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Traveling to other assigned territories to participate or lead service activities.
  • Performing the removal of Konami equipment, including loading and securing equipment on trucks.
  • Performing the unloading of Konami equipment from trucks for delivery and/or installation.
  • Conducting Casino Site inspections and courtesy checks.
  • Maintaining assigned vehicle for inspections, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Participating in new product reviews, rollouts (Beta and pilot installations), and pre-site evaluations.
  • Completing Service Tickets with accuracy and timely submission.
  • Completing timely and accurate accounting of service tickets.
  • Ensuring accurate accounting of part usage.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of equipment within assigned warehouse inventories and coordinating with customer solutions to replenish parts.
  • Managing assigned service warehouse inventory items and participating in periodic inventory counts.
  • Participating in on-site training to KGI customers on platform options, functionality, and progressive setups.
  • Maintaining a positive image of KGI by providing exceptional and professional service.
  • Providing on-site support for casino openings and expansions.
  • Contributing to the achievement of Customer Service Goals by handling customer service activities, interactions, and problem-solving.
  • Providing indirect feedback to Service management regarding the serviceability of existing products.
  • Escalating complex technical issues or requests.
  • Participating in cycle counts, year-end stock takes, and part discrepancy investigations.
  • Performing installation of Konami System Hardware Player Tracking Assemblies.
  • Assisting with technical refresher training to other Konami techs or personnel.
  • Assisting with Game Technical training to casino personnel.
  • Participating with the team on vehicle inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Assisting with RMA room activities: unpacking, cleaning, removing, repairing, updating, and packaging Konami parts and equipment.
  • Participating in the removal of game components from returned games.
  • Performing Other Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) bracket and system installation.
  • Participating in Showroom game inspection, installation, removals, conversions, repairs, relocations, and preventive maintenance.
  • Performing customer parts and equipment delivery.
  • Assisting with the truck loading or unloading of Konami equipment.
  • Driving and delivering games when required.
  • Providing assistance or filling in for the GSS support desk when needed.
  • Assisting with part number verification.
  • Assisting with the inspection of final game builds, conversions, and part orders.
  • Assisting with Konami technical document creation.
  • Participating in sales order mockups of new game and product rollouts.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
