About The Position

Konami Gaming is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area to join their Field Service team. This role is responsible for the repair, installation, removal, preventive maintenance, and conversion of approved KGI gaming products. The technician will also provide on-site training to customers on game functionality and operation, and may mentor less experienced personnel upon management request and Superior approval. The position offers opportunities for technical skill development and learning from experienced professionals in the field.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel in & out of assigned territory up to 75% of work time on short notice.

  • Must possess a clean Driver License that is in excellent standing with the DMV.
  • Ability to move and lift heavy equipment within measured guidelines (75+ lbs) while strictly abiding to all safety policies.

  • Clean driving record is required.

May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. May be required to move machines weighing up to 400 pounds using a hand truck. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and reach.   • Technical field experience is preferred or a comparable combination of experience and education.
  • Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Gaming-related field highly preferred.
  • Typically has 2 to 5 years of experience with software or hardware problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high levels of service activity including installations, service calls, conversions, preventive maintenance (PMs), and removals on KGI gaming products within an assigned territory.
  • Support lead technicians and participate in assigned tasks for large game/multi-tech and game product service activities.
  • Solve semi-complex and routine customer-related issues effectively.
  • Participate in major product installations and conversions for 25 or more games.
  • Receive on-the-job (OJT) training on all Konami gaming products.
  • Participate in the setup of KGI products for trade shows and installations/special projects.
  • Escalate customer issues that cannot be resolved within a reasonable time (dictated by SLA definitions).
  • Travel to other assigned territories to participate in or lead service activities.
  • Perform the removal of Konami equipment, including loading and securing equipment on trucks.
  • Perform the unloading of Konami equipment from trucks for delivery and/or installation.
  • Conduct Casino Site inspections and courtesy checks.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle, including inspections, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Participate in new product reviews, new product rollouts (Beta and pilot installations), and new product pre-site evaluations.
  • Complete service tickets accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
  • Complete timely and accurate accounting of service tickets using both mobile and manual methods.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of part usage.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment within assigned warehouse inventories and coordinate with customer solutions to replenish parts.
  • Manage assigned service warehouse inventory items and participate in periodic inventory counts.
  • Participate with on-site training to KGI customers on platform options, functionality, and setup/configuration of Konami progressives.
  • Maintain a positive image of KGI by providing exceptional and professional service.
  • Provide on-site support for casino openings and expansions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Customer Service Goals by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Provide indirect feedback to Service management regarding the serviceability of existing products.
  • Escalate complex technical issues or requests to gain cooperation at mid-management levels.
  • Participate in cycle counts, year-end stock takes, and resolve part discrepancies.
  • Perform installation of Konami System Hardware Player Tracking Assemblies.
  • Assist with technical refresher training to other Konami techs or personnel.
  • Assist with Game Technical training to casino personnel.
  • Participate with the team on vehicle inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Assist with RMA room tasks: unpacking, cleaning, removing, repairing, updating, inspecting, and packaging Konami parts and equipment.
  • Participate in the removal of game components from returned games when required.
  • Perform (OEM) Other Equipment Manufacturer bracket and system installation for game Sale Orders.
  • Participate in Showroom game inspection, installation, removals, conversions, repairs, relocations, and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform customer parts and equipment delivery when needed.
  • Assist with truck loading or unloading of Konami equipment.
  • Drive and deliver games when required in a Konami-provided vehicle.
  • Provide assistance or fill in for the GSS support desk when needed.
  • Assist with part number verification for Konami personnel and customers.
  • Assist with the inspection of final game builds, conversions, and part orders.
  • Assist with Konami technical document creation.
  • Participate in sales order mockups of new game and product rollouts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the functional job area.
  • Interact with Konami Gaming Customers to identify/resolve moderate problems with KGI gaming products.
