About The Position

Power Critical Systems—Anywhere They’re Needed. At Milton CAT Power Systems, your work directly supports hospitals, infrastructure, and emerging technologies—the systems people rely on every day. This is a fast-growing, future-focused division of Milton CAT, specializing in power generation, backup power, and energy systems. You will have independence in the field with full support, advanced training, and the opportunity to work on mission-critical equipment like Caterpillar generators, engines, switchgear, and power systems, as well as electrical systems including transfer switches, UPS, and controls. We offer a stable, team-oriented environment with consistent, year-round work.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with power generation, electrical systems, or engine systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
• Experience troubleshooting generators, engines, or power equipment
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics
• Proven ability to work independently in the field
• Strong customer service mindset
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Your own tools

Nice To Haves

• CAT experience
• CDL
• Technical degree

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair power generation and electrical systems
• Service engines, generators, switchgear, and related equipment
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Perform maintenance, testing, and system adjustments
• Install, repair, and support critical power systems at customer sites
• Complete service documentation and inspection reports
• Manage your service calls and work independently in the field
• Respond to occasional after-hours or emergency service needs
