About The Position

This is a remote field-based position requiring daily travel to customer locations within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in healthcare facilities, maintaining and servicing both hardware and software components. Candidates should reside within a 30-mile radius of the position's base location - Albuquerque, NM. A company vehicle is provided, and 5% overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment
  • Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Medical device or electromechanical device service/repair experience
  • Customer Support Certification
  • Valid driver's license meeting BD's auto safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or 3-5 years of combined Hardware/Software/IT experience
  • Experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment
  • Prior customer support center experience or training
  • Military Bio-Med experience
  • Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems
  • Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, and provide sales support
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Manage company assets (vehicle, tools, inventory) responsibly
