About The Position

This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment and attend and successfully complete required training classes. A necessary set of tools is required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work area, and safety standards. Inspecting components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs is also a key responsibility. Completing required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times is essential. The technician will monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns prior to job completion. Approaching work in a positive manner, maintaining conduct supportive of the work team, and setting standards for others is expected. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, training and/or mentoring others, and temporarily assuming the supervisor's position as necessary are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned will be performed.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
5-6 years experience
Valid Drivers License
Successfully completed all required training curriculum to be designated Service Field Tech I
Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
Inspects components to insure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.
Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed.

Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Trains and/or mentors others in department.
Assumes Supervisors positon temporarily, as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
