About The Position

The Shop Service Technician III is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires wearing proper personal protective equipment, attending and completing required technician training, and maintaining a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. The technician will maintain a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. They will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role involves working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly seeking improvements in work methods, the work area, and safety standards. Inspecting components to maximize parts reuse for cost control and completing required documentation using appropriate software are key duties. The technician will monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, inform the supervisor of any cost overruns, and approach work positively, maintaining supportive conduct within the team. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and training/mentoring others are also essential. This position performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-4 years of experience
  • Completed all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech II.
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

  • Maintains necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
  • Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
  • Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.
  • Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
  • Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed.
  • Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team.
  • Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
  • Trains and/or mentors others in department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
