This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment, attend and complete required training, and maintain a necessary set of tools for job performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications, as well as performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment. This includes mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The technician will work in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously seeking improvements in work methods, the work area, and safety standards. They will inspect components to maximize parts reuse for cost control and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for time. Monitoring job expenses against repair estimates and informing the supervisor of any cost overruns before job completion is crucial. The role requires approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while upholding safety and quality expectations. Additionally, the technician may train or mentor others, temporarily assume the supervisor's position, and perform other assigned duties.
