This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, while wearing proper personal protective equipment. The technician will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintain a necessary set of tools for job performance, and diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The position requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work areas, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs, complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times, and monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, informing the supervisor of any cost overruns prior to job completion. A positive approach to work, conduct supportive of the team, and setting standards for others are expected. The role contributes to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and may involve training and/or mentoring others, and temporarily assuming the supervisor's position as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
