About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a Service Mechanic in the field. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956. The Service Mechanic functions as part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards. You will effectively communicate with all involved parties, including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers, about possible downtime and job progress updates. You will operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
Minimum 21 years of age
Clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
