About The Position

Field Service Technicians function as part of the Service Team and perform field diagnostics and repair on a wide range of customer and company-owned material handling equipment. In this role, you will travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, perform in field diagnostic assessments, and repair a wide range of construction equipment and components. You will use your in-depth mechanical knowledge and expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment functionality. You will continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates. You will operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles. Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or in a related industry
  • Must own a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • Familiarity with equipment operation
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
