About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a field Service Mechanic with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills. The Service Mechanic is part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of customer- and company-owned equipment. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment at customer locations, restoring units to operational and safety standards, communicating downtime and job progress to relevant parties, and working safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

At least one year of mechanical training or education and/or experience in a related field.
Possess or be able to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools needed to perform work at customer sites.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving-record check.

Above-average communication skills.
Ability to read schematics or be trained to read them.
Ability to complete duties accurately and promptly.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at customer locations, restoring equipment to operational and safety standards.
Communicate with salespeople, coordinators, managers, and customers about possible downtime and job progress.
Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision to reduce equipment downtime.
Maintain safe working practices on customer sites and while operating company vehicles.
