About The Position

The Field Service Tech performs maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment in a safe and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service. The role involves working on equipment at customer job sites and maintaining service vehicles and work documentation. It offers potential to progress to higher Service Technician and leadership roles in the Service Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
1–2 years of experience repairing or maintaining vehicles and equipment, or graduation from trade school.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
Must own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Safely maintain and repair complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
Travel to customer job sites to repair and maintain rental or customer-owned equipment.
Keep the service vehicle clean and professional.
Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
Complete paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed, including work orders, accurately and promptly each day.
Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
