Requirements

  • Degree or designation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation.
  • Proven experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong software skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with serial communications is a plus.
  • Experience in commercial construction is desirable, along with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Understanding of hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the startup and commissioning of Armstrong equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives and Control Panels.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with our diverse range of equipment, from pumps to automated valves.
  • Document your work through our online portal, provide on-site training to operators, and share field service insights with our After Sales team.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, demonstrating the value of Armstrong’s products and identify opportunities for additional sales.
  • Handle service requests, complaints, and startup inquiries via calls and emails.
  • Schedule and manage service visits effectively.
  • Be part of a team providing after-hours support to address urgent service issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for service and installation teams, as well as for mechanical contractors, to enhance their knowledge of Armstrong products.
  • Compile and review field reports to ensure equipment performance and warranty adherence.
  • Assist with connecting site equipment to the Internet or customer networks.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and sales teams to support product development and project-specific initiatives.
  • Identify and report on product issues and contribute to process and design improvements.
