About The Position

Leidos’ Integrated Airborne Solutions currently has an opening for a Field Service Representative to work out of our Bridgewater, Virginia office. The job of the Systems Engineer is to provide onsite and remote support for multiple manned aerial ISR platforms to our customers at CONUS and OCONUS locations. We are looking for motivated self-starters who want to join a team dedicated to excellence and continuous progress. Candidates should have prior experience with Full Motion Video, Video Distribution, Tactical Radios, and IT Principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience in one of these areas: Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers. Additional 4 years of experience or may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level II or higher
  • General IT knowledge and ability to identify issues and research corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs & SRGs and how to implement hardening to information systems and network devices i.e., workstations, servers, applications, routers, L3/L2 switches, Cisco ASAs, firewalls, etc).
  • Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
  • Be willing to travel and/or deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations (including remote locations identified as hazardous and hardship) as required per contract.
  • Current SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military Airborne ISR and flight operations experience strongly desired.
  • Current or Prior knowledge of direct Leidos IAS ISR platforms to include development, design, integration, platform testing, CONOPS and maintenance practices is strongly preferred.
  • Current experience with DOD avionics, to include but not limited to, EO/IR FMV, tactical communication, navigation, CSEC, SIGINT and aircraft survivability equipment repair and modification.
  • Broad technology experience in systems engineering, ISR sensors, requirements tracking, testing and validation.
  • "Hands-on" experience developing systems for Airborne ISR programs and sensors.
  • Experience must include an understanding of basic electronics principles and theory and must be proficient with test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, maintain, service, troubleshoot, test and compile technical data for aircraft mission equipment suite/ Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to include, but not limited to; tactical communications BLOS/VULOS (KOR-24, PRC-117, PRC-152, PRC-167, ARC-231), CTDLs (Link-16, BFT/FBCB2), LOS Datalinks (Vortex, MANeT) cryptographic equipment (CSEC), keying data transfer devices (DTDs), IP networking and sub-netting, EO/IR, SIGINT, BLOS and PPL.
  • Implement established configuration management, safety and quality assurance processes IAW AS9100D and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain Tactical communications system suites to include applicable CSEC as required.
  • Track and document hardware/software across multiple locations and programs.
  • Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks to include encryptors, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot virtual environments to include VMware.
  • Monitor and manage storage appliances, and databases and apply fault solution with vendor support.
  • Manage, patch, and troubleshoot various Microsoft and Linux products.
  • Implement, and troubleshoot active directory, group policy, and DNS.
  • Create documentation on new technologies or configuration procedures for program uniformity.
  • Configure and evaluate reports on systems such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Host Based Security Systems (HBSS), Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), computer workstations & servers, network switches & firewalls, etc.
  • Implement security controls in response to Nessus and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans conducted on computer environments concerning Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implement Guide (STIG) requirements.
  • Implement and perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and continuous monitoring techniques and vulnerability assessments.
  • Additional duties as assigned based on specific platform requirements or contractual needs.
