About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Field Service Representative (FSR) responsible for the overall function of the deployable communications system for the customer from delivery to deployment. Producing top quality products for the customer is vital. This onsite position in San Antonio, TX requires 24/7 support. GovCIO integrates deployable communications capabilities worldwide, managing hardware and software configurations, developing and providing training, field service support, logistics services, and managing Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework processes. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) FSR, you are the primary liaison between the customer and company, responsible for system assembly, installation, configuration, programming, optimization, routine maintenance, and analysis functions. This includes hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components. You will also provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting, and efficiently conclude all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test activities.

Requirements

  • High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Active TS SCI Clearance
  • 1-3 years Networking and/or System administration experience
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc)
  • Ability to support 24/7 operations
  • Familiar with SATCOM terminals and Networking equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate
  • Ability to work with the customer on a daily basis to train with the system, deploy the system and troubleshoot the system
  • Able to operate independently, self-starter

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoD deployed communications
  • Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS Networks
  • IT Help Desk

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, installs and configures systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics
  • Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process
  • Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing and replacing equipment components, when necessary
  • Provides on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting
  • Operate efficiently to conclude all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test activities
  • Perform troubleshooting and strive to resolve issues
  • Produce frequent and analytical service reports
  • Team up with colleagues and pass on important information
  • Discern customer needs and offer advice or recommendations
  • Formulate relationships of trust with customers
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time
  • Maintain effective customer communications and relations
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel
