At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. Position Summary When surgical instruments are sharpened and working properly, surgeons can focus on providing the best care for their patients. In this position, you will perform surgical instrument inspection, repair, and refurbishment. You will work primarily in a field-based setting (on a mobile repair truck), but at times you will do the same kind of work in one of our DC-based stationary repair labs. Our technicians deliver a superior Customer Experience by providing timely and quality repairs to meet compliance standards for our hospital Customers. You do not have to have previous instrument repair experience to be considered. This is an entry level job - we will train you! This role requires daily travel by driving a company vehicle (large box truck). If offered this position, STERIS will run a 7 year driving record check, as part of our onboarding process. Location + Schedule Notes: Your commute point most days will be our mobile repair truck storage location in the Camp Springs area, where you'll meet your colleagues before heading together to the scheduled Customer site. All driving time on the truck is paid, and most Customers are within a 2-hour radius (often much closer), so overnight travel is not required often. Occasional overnight travel will be needed for training or for providing coverage in a neighboring region, but you will have advanced notice to plan around these occasional trips. This full-time position is primarily Monday-Friday, typically starting between 5:30-6am.
