About The Position
Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site. We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/ Mechanic (Remote - Idaho, Wyoming) to join our Distribution Business in (Remote - Idaho, Wyoming). We offer sign on bonus to external candidates $5000, Relocation, Competitive pay and benefits!
Requirements
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance
- Proficient Diesel Engine experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.
- Understanding switchgear schematics.
- Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/ Mechanics.
Nice To Haves
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
Responsibilities
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
