About The Position

H&K Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with heavy equipment experience to service material handling equipment and forklifts. The position involves working with limited supervision and independently, and requires a safe driving record and the technician’s own tools. Work includes servicing equipment at customer locations and maintaining equipment performance in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.

Requirements

• Heavy equipment experience.
• Hydraulic and diesel experience.
• Strong electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work, think, and operate independently with limited supervision.
• Clean, safe driving record.
• Must provide own tools.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical exam, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior mechanical and technical experience on large mobile equipment, preferably forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and service diesel-, electric-, or LP-fueled heavy lift equipment.
• Determine the repairs required.
• Maintain equipment service records.
• Perform preventative maintenance at customer locations.
• Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to confirm proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
