About The Position
H&K Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with heavy equipment experience to service material handling equipment and forklifts in the Buffalo, New York area. The role involves working with limited supervision and independently diagnosing and servicing equipment at customer locations. Candidates must have their own tools and a clean, safe driving record. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
Requirements
- Heavy equipment experience.
- Hydraulic and diesel experience.
- Strong electrical aptitude.
- Clean, safe driving record.
- Ability to work, think, and operate independently with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves
- Prior mechanical and technical experience on large mobile equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and service diesel-, electric-, or LP-fueled heavy lift equipment.
- Determine required repairs.
- Maintain equipment service records.
- Conduct preventive maintenance at customer locations.
- Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
