About The Position

With 40+ locations, 2,500+ employees, and a fleet of 10,000+ units, we design, assemble, sell, rent, and service specialized equipment for major utility, telecom, construction, forestry, oil & gas, and rail companies across the U.S. and Canada. We are hiring experienced Field Service Technicians with a strong background in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel equipment. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing truck-mounted equipment in the field.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of related technician experience (shop and/or field)
  • Strong skills in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel equipment
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic software (e.g., QuickServe, DTNA)
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred)
  • Own tools
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems
  • DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on aerial equipment, cranes, digger derricks, and related machinery in the field, in accordance with CTOS and manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot LMI (Load Moment Indicator) and CAN bus systems
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and rebuild components (cylinders, gearboxes, outriggers)
  • Operate and test equipment to verify repairs
  • Complete work orders, inspections, and documentation accurately
  • Communicate repair status and additional needs to management
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, ANSI, and safety standards
  • Work safely and maintain professionalism with customers and team members
  • Attend required training and safety meetings
