Mr. Electric of Gulfport•Gulfport, MS
•$80,000 - $127,500•Onsite

About The Position

About Mr. Electric At Mr. Electric, we are built on a commitment to world-class customer service, safety, and operational excellence. We take pride in delivering transparent, high-integrity electrical solutions to residential and commercial customers across South Mississippi. We believe in empowering our team members, leveraging modern field technology, and maintaining an environment focused on coaching, growth, and professional pride. Role Summary Are you an experienced trade manager or field leader who knows how to run efficient operations, build high-performing teams, and elevate brand standards? We are seeking a Field Service Manager (FSM) to lead our field operations across our active fleet. This role bridges technical field execution with business management—focusing on technician coaching, customer service standards, process adherence, and quality control. Our business philosophy centers on educating our customers on their electrical systems—respecting their ability to make informed decisions based on thorough, transparent in-home education. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, actively utilizes AI-driven field coaching tools (Rilla) to mentor technicians, and steps onto the tools when operational capacity demands it.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential/commercial electrical service work.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory, foreman, or field management role within residential or commercial services.
  • Proven ability to coach technicians to educate customers clearly and transparently without high-pressure sales tactics.
  • Proficiency with field management software (ServiceTitan or equivalent), flat-rate pricing models, iPad workflows, and willingness to master AI field-coaching tools (Rilla).
  • Willingness and ability to travel across designated service regions as required by operational demand, including periodic overnight stays.
  • Strong de-escalation skills, financial literacy around field operational metrics, ability to author SOPs, and physical willingness to run service calls when needed.
  • Active driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass standard background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an active daily user of Rilla (voice analytics platform) to audit field interactions, evaluate customer education presentations, and deliver targeted 1-on-1 audio coaching sessions to Service Professionals.
  • Conduct scheduled field ride-alongs and run interactive team huddles focused on technical safety, customer education role-playing, and operational updates.
  • Assume the duties of a Service Professional in the field during peak demand or staffing shortages, assist with complex high-scope projects, and resolve technical diagnostic escalations.
  • Manage ongoing price book updates (ServiceTitan or equivalent) and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for direct and indirect field and support staff.
  • Perform job site safety/NEC audits and oversee root-cause investigations on technical callbacks to eliminate repeat service issues.
  • Partner with dispatch daily for optimal routing and van utilization. Manage existing service hubs while supporting operational expansion into adjacent regional territories.
