About The Position
The client is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician for a direct hire position in the Whitsett, North Carolina area. This role involves working with a company that manufactures packaging equipment. The position requires 3-6 months of international training, after which the technician will travel 75-80% of the time to client sites, both domestically and internationally, to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and modifications on packaging equipment. This is a travel-heavy role, and travel expenses will be covered.
Requirements
- 2+ years of equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
- 2-year degree (technical degree) or certificate in industrial automation/industrial electronics.
- Proficiency in PLC Programming (TwinCAT).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
- Valid driver’s license (ability to rent vehicles/hotels).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Passport for international travel.
- Willingness to travel 75–85% (average ~280 days/year) and relocate for training.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical installations, maintenance, and modifications on packaging equipment at client sites.
- Travel to client sites within the US and internationally 75-80% of the time.
- Undergo 3-6 months of international training.
