About The Position
The client is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician for a direct hire position in the Whitsett, North Carolina area. This role involves working with a company that manufactures packaging equipment. The position requires 3-6 months of international training, after which the technician will travel 75-80% of the time to client sites, both domestically and internationally, to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and modifications on packaging equipment. Travel expenses will be covered.
Requirements
- 2+ years of equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- 2-year degree (technical degree) or certificate in industrial automation/industrial electronics
- Proficiency in PLC Programming (Allen Bradley systems)
- Experience using electrical tools such as multi-meters, wire strippers, cutters, and crimpers
- Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
- Valid driver’s license (ability to rent vehicles/hotels)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Passport for international travel
- Willingness to travel 75–85% (average ~280 days/year)
- Willingness to relocate for training
