Field Service Generator Technician

About The Position
Aggreko is seeking a Power Technician based in Lithonia, Georgia, with work based out of its Atlanta service center. The role involves maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, setting up, and operating generators and other power and HVAC-related equipment, either independently or alongside other technicians. The position is full-time, with the potential for overtime and weekend work.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically weighing less than 50 pounds.
- May be required, based on customer requirements, to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and perform repairs.
- Set up and operate equipment at the shop, either independently or with other technicians.
