Field Service Engineer - Automation Industry

ProAutomated Inc.•Arlington, TX
•$60,000 - $75,000•Onsite

About The Position

ProAutomated is building its hiring pipeline for early 2026 for curious, adaptable problem-solvers who enjoy travel and hands-on work. The role includes four weeks of paid training for technically skilled individuals with a foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. Field Service Engineers travel on rotating schedules and work directly with customers across North America. There is no office to report to, and employees are away from home while working. ProAutomated partners with system integrators and manufacturers rather than installing systems. Field Service Engineers help ensure automation projects work as intended by supporting data center startups and leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. They work on-site with automation and controls engineers, communicate with customers and project teams, and troubleshoot and validate systems. Projects may involve varied work sites and industries, including food and beverage. The position offers a starting salary of $60,000–$75,000, depending on location, education, and experience, plus per diem for meals, mileage reimbursement, utilization bonuses, and weekend bonuses. The company provides paid training, annual merit raises, and a 5% salary increase after six months. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, a matching 401(k), short- and long-term disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. The company describes itself as a smaller, people-first team that values teamwork, adaptability, humor, high standards, and employee growth.
