About The Position
This is a direct hire position for a Controls Technician responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and modifying PLCs and HMIs. Previous experience as a Maintenance Controls Tech, Controls Electrician, Field Service Tech, or Controls Engineer is desired. The role involves the complete lifecycle of electrical control systems, from design and build to installation, programming, and commissioning.
Requirements
- Experience programming, troubleshooting, and modifying PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience wiring machines.
- Able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Familiar with electrical codes and standards.
- Able to travel 45% of the time.
- Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus.
- Experience in programming robotics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Layout, design, build, wire, install, program, and troubleshoot electrical control panels, junction boxes, limit switches, sensors, motors (AC/DC), conduit, and other electrical components.
- Commission new machines.
- Wire new machines and equipment with the latest electrical controls and components.
- Program, troubleshoot, and modify Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
- Integrate, troubleshoot, and modify automation systems.
