About The Position

KeyMe Locksmiths is hiring a Field Sales Technician for a role combining customer-facing sales with hands-on automotive work. The technician represents KeyMe, engages customers, promotes its services, and cuts and programs automotive keys on the spot. The company provides full training; prior experience cutting and programming automotive keys is a plus but is not required. The role involves working independently at different worksites and maintaining a van, equipment, tools, and inventory.

Requirements

Outgoing, enthusiastic, and comfortable talking with customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
Hands-on, tech-savvy, and willing to learn new technical skills.
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Available to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays; schedule and days off may vary based on business needs.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience cutting and programming automotive keys.
Strong interest in cars or experience in the automotive industry, including parts, service, or sales.
Experience in automotive, locksmith, retail, or sales backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and promote KeyMe’s on-the-spot car key duplication service.
Explain services, build trust, and close sales.
Cut, clone, and program automotive keys, fobs, and remotes for a variety of makes and models.
Troubleshoot basic key-cutting and programming issues.
Test keys for accuracy and functionality before handing them to customers.
Provide a positive customer experience from start to finish.
Set up and maintain the van, equipment, tools, and inventory.
Travel to different worksites.
