About The Position

We’re looking for a hungry, disciplined field sales rep to hit the ground running across key Northeast markets for two growing pet brands — Canada Pooch and WAGLAB. This is a boots-on-the-ground role. You’ll be in stores and with reps 90% of the time — setting up your weekly routes, walking retail floors, selling product, training store staff, and making sure our brands are visible and moving off the shelf. You’ll report to our Key Account Manager, who handles the distributor relationships at the top level. Your job is to take the programs and initiatives he builds and sell them through at the store level — one store, one rep, one shelf at a time. This is a remote, field-based position. Candidates must reside within assigned region, be able to travel consistently in the region, and ideally live near a major airport hub. Residency in PA, NY, or NJ preferred. Requirements

  • 2–3+ years in a field sales, route sales, or retail-facing role
  • You’re structured and disciplined: you plan your week, run your route, and hold yourself accountable
  • You’re hungry and competitive — you want to grind, earn, and see direct results from your effort
  • Strong people skills — you build rapport fast with store staff, reps, and buyers
  • Comfortable being on the road and in stores 90%+ of the time — this is not a remote desk job
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently in a travel-heavy environment
  • Basic proficiency in Excel and sales reporting
  • Must be based in the Northeastern USA (PA, NY, NJ preferred) and located near a major airport
  • Able to travel 90%+ of the time, including trade shows and regional events

Nice To Haves

  • Pet industry experience is a strong plus
  • Experience working with distributor rep groups is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute structured weekly routes across key retail stores and chains in BCI and Northeast distribution territories, prioritizing high-potential accounts
  • Sell WAGLAB and Canada Pooch products to store buyers, managers, and staff — driving orders, reorders, and expanded shelf presence
  • Execute selling programs and promotions at the store level, created in partnership with the Key Account Manager
  • Merchandise product on retail floors — planograms, displays, and brand visibility
  • Track what’s working, what’s not, and report back with actionable intel
  • Ride along with distributor reps and independent rep groups, coaching them on our product lines and selling strategies
  • Be the go-to field contact connecting rep teams with our internal team
  • Equip reps with samples, selling tools, and the brand knowledge they need to win
  • Run in-store product training sessions so retail teams can sell our products with confidence
  • Build real relationships with store owners and managers across the territory
  • Be the face of Canada Pooch and WAGLAB at the store level
  • Represent both brands at regional distributor tradeshows, as well as national shows (Global Pet Expo and SuperZoo)
  • Work the floor, build relationships, and support new product launches (5+ events per year)

Benefits

  • Base salary: $55,000–$70,000 USD (depending on experience)
  • Up to $25,000 target bonus, paid quarterly with a year-end true-up
  • $600/month car allowance plus fuel covered
  • $70/month phone allowance
