About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and disciplined Field Sales Representative to cover key Northeast markets for our growing pet brands, Canada Pooch and WAGLAB. This is a hands-on role requiring 90% of your time to be spent in stores, setting up weekly routes, selling products, training staff, and ensuring brand visibility. You will report to the Key Account Manager and be responsible for executing sales programs at the store level. This is a remote, field-based position requiring consistent travel within the assigned region, with a preference for candidates residing in PA, NY, or NJ and near a major airport hub. The ideal candidate loves being in the field, thrives on structure, and is driven by results.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years in a field sales, route sales, or retail-facing role.
  • Structured and disciplined approach to planning and execution.
  • Hungry and competitive mindset, driven by results.
  • Strong people skills for building rapport with store staff, reps, and buyers.
  • Comfortable being on the road and in stores 90%+ of the time.
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently in a travel-heavy environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel and sales reporting.
  • Must be based in the Northeastern USA (PA, NY, NJ preferred) and located near a major airport.
  • Able to travel 90%+ of the time, including trade shows and regional events.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute structured weekly routes across key retail stores and chains in BCI and Northeast distribution territories, prioritizing high-potential accounts.
  • Sell WAGLAB and Canada Pooch products to store buyers, managers, and staff, driving orders, reorders, and expanded shelf presence.
  • Execute selling programs and promotions at the store level, created in partnership with the Key Account Manager.
  • Merchandise product on retail floors, including planograms, displays, and brand visibility.
  • Track sales performance, identify what's working and what's not, and report back with actionable insights.
  • Ride along with distributor reps and independent rep groups, coaching them on product lines and selling strategies.
  • Serve as the primary field contact connecting rep teams with the internal team.
  • Equip reps with samples, selling tools, and brand knowledge.
  • Run in-store product training sessions for retail teams.
  • Build relationships with store owners and managers across the territory.
  • Represent both brands at regional distributor tradeshows and national shows (e.g., Global Pet Expo, SuperZoo).
  • Support new product launches at events.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $55,000–$70,000 USD (depending on experience)
  • Up to $25,000 target bonus, paid quarterly with a year-end true-up.
