About The Position

Life Fitness and Hammer Strength are seeking a motivated, early-career professional to join the team as a Field Sales Associate supporting the U.S. Military segment. This field-based role (typically 3+ days per week on-site) supports installations across the East Coast, with a primary focus on the DC–Northern Virginia to Norfolk corridor. Candidates based in DC, Northern Virginia, or Norfolk are strongly preferred, given the territory alignment. The position offers hands-on sales training and mentorship, with meaningful engagement across military installations and partners. It aligns closely with our core values—putting customers first, collaborating as one team, and driving innovation in fitness.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles (preferred)
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Interest in long-term career development within government, military, or structured selling environments
  • Ability to manage longer timelines and multiple stakeholders
  • Based within or willing to travel consistently throughout the DC–Norfolk corridor
  • Prior military service, federal agency experience, or familiarity with secure, highly structured environments (strongly preferred)
  • Comfortable complying with security protocols, background checks, and base access requirements
  • Ability to operate professionally within established chain-of-command structures

Responsibilities

  • Support sales efforts across military installations and partners within the DC–Norfolk corridor and broader East Coast military network
  • Navigate structured purchasing and procurement processes with guidance from the team
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multiple installations
  • Support opportunities tied to facility upgrades, refresh cycles, and new builds
  • Maintain strong organization and documentation across sales opportunities
  • Consistently follow up to manage relationships and foster long-term customer connections
