About The Position

The Field Roof Inspector works as an independent contractor conducting assessments of steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior property damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. Work may take place in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must have a reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Must have a LiDAR-equipped device or be able to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.
• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, especially steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background.
• Insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
