About The Position

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a wide range of insurance products. As a Field Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex Homeowner's Claims. This includes determining coverage, damages, and negotiating claims within your authority. You will create comprehensive estimates of damages for complex first-party homeowner claims, leading to their proper disposition. This role also involves acting as a peer mentor, potentially assigning direction to more junior employees, and demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our Western Minnesota team. The ideal candidate will reside in Minnesota, preferably near Roseau, East Grand Forks, Moorhead, Alexandria, Marshall or Worthington. You will play a key role in helping customers navigate the claims process with confidence and care. In this role, you will investigate and manage moderate to complex residential property claims, as well as some farm and ranch claims, through a combination of on-site inspections and virtual claim handling. The successful candidate will possess strong estimating skills, proficiency with Xactimate, and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Experience handling agricultural, farm, and ranch claims is highly preferred. Requirements

• Proficiency with Xactimate.
• Ability to effectively manage challenging situations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims.
• Determining coverage, damages and otherwise adjusting and negotiating claims within limit of authority.
• Creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition.
• Acting as a peer mentor and potentially assigning direction to more junior employees.
• Investigating and managing moderate to complex residential property claims, as well as some farm and ranch claims, through a combination of on-site inspections and virtual claim handling.
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files.
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
• Recommends process improvements.
