About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will diagnose and repair equipment issues and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a member of the Equipment division, the Mechanic will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to support the efficient and effective use of company resources.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using equipment maintenance or repair software.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions to resolve them.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment-related activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
